Savannah Guthrie returns to Today show for first time since mother's disappearance
Savannah Guthrie is back at the anchor desk this morning for the first time in more than two months, marking an emotional milestone after the disappearance of her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie. The longtime NBC co-host opened the 7 a.m. hour alongside Craig Melvin with a simple but heartfelt message: “It is good to be home.” While the broadcast began with its usual focus on the day’s top headlines, the moment carried added weight for Guthrie, whose absence has been felt by colleagues and viewers alike. During the 8 a.m. hour, as she greeted fans gathered outside Rockefeller Center—some wearing “Welcome home Savannah” shirts—Guthrie became visibly emotional, underscoring the deeply personal nature of her return. Nancy Guthrie has now been missing for 65 days after disappearing from her home in the Catalina Foothills near Tucson, Arizona, on February 1. The search continues as Guthrie balances her return to the public eye with the ongoing uncertainty surrounding her mother’s whereabouts.

Spaceballs 2 coming Spring 2027
A sequel to the 1987 cult classic Spaceballs is officially in the works at Amazon MGM Studios, with a theatrical release set for April 23, 2027. Original creator Mel Brooks is producing alongside Josh Gad, who also stars and co-wrote the screenplay. Brooks announced the project himself in a teaser released last June. Filming ran from September to December 2025, and while plot details remain under wraps, the film is expected to spoof modern sci-fi, including Star Wars sequel trilogy and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The cast blends returning favorites and new faces. Bill Pullman reprises Lone Starr, Rick Moranis returns as Dark Helmet, and Brooks is back as Yogurt and President Skroob. Joining them are Gad, Keke Palmer, and Lewis Pullman as Lone Starr’s son—bringing a fresh spin to the franchise’s signature parody style.
