Met Gala 2026 celebrates “Fashion as Art”
Fashion’s biggest names took over the Met steps for the opening of the Metropolitan Museum's new Costume Art exhibition, which explores the “dressed body” through 5,000 years of art and fashion. Co-chairs Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour led the night, with Beyoncé returning after a decade away in a custom Balmain couture look. Tony Award nominations announced for 79th annual ceremony on June 7
Nominations across 26 categories for the American Theatre Wing’s 79th Annual Tony Awards were revealed by Uzo Aduba and Darren Criss. The Lost Boys, Schmigadoon!, Titaníque, and Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) are among the contenders for Best Book of a Musical, while stars including Nathan Lane, Laurie Metcalf, Daniel Radcliffe, Rose Byrne, Luke Evans, and Carrie Coon lead the acting races. Hosted by P!NK, the ceremony returns to Radio City Music Hall on June 7 at 8 PM ET, airing live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have reached a confidential settlement, avoiding a trial that had been set for mid-May. While terms were not disclosed, the agreement resolves the remaining claims after much of the case had already been dismissed. In a joint statement, both expressed pride in the film and reaffirmed their commitment to raising awareness for domestic violence survivors, noting that “concerns raised by Ms. Lively deserved to be heard” and voicing hope for closure and a more respectful online environment. The deal was finalized just hours before Lively’s appearance at the 2026 Met Gala.
